MOSCOW, September 8 - RIA Novosti. A detained citizen of Moldova shot at a Russian serviceman at least six times in the Saratov region, official representative of the Russian Investigative Committee Svetlana Petrenko told RIA Novosti.

According to the investigation, on the morning of September 3, 2026, in the village of Probozhdenie, Engels district, Saratov region, the defendant committed an attempt on the life of a Russian serviceman. The victim was hospitalized in a timely manner, thanks to which he remained alive.
