The Foreign Ministers of Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Qatar, Egypt, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Jordan condemned Israel's refusal to recognize the Road Map and the State of Palestine prepared within the scope of US President Donald Trump's Comprehensive Peace Plan to end the Gaza conflict, approved by the United Nations Security Council resolution 2803.
In the joint statement, it was stated that Israel's attitude amounts to a direct rejection of the Comprehensive Peace Plan and jeopardizes the implementation of the plan. It was stated that this attitude also undermines joint efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace.
In the statement, it was noted that the Road Map accepted by Palestinian groups was created as a result of the intense efforts of Egypt, Qatar, Turkey, the USA, the Gaza High Representative and the Peace Board. The Road Map; It was emphasized that the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza, the deployment of the International Stabilization Force, the transfer of administrative authority to the Gaza National Management Committee, the laying down of weapons and the reconstruction of Gaza are of critical importance. The statement stated that Israel's rejection of the Road Map means a clear rejection of the continuation of the implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Plan, and emphasized the importance of the active and uninterrupted engagement of the USA to ensure that Israel complies with the commitments envisaged within the scope of the plan. Ministers stated that Israel is directly and fully responsible for the consequences that may arise from its continued refusal, obstruction, postponement or non-compliance with obligations.
'WE REJECT THE BLOCKING OF THE STATE OF PALESTINE'
In the statement, it was stated that the complete and urgent implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Plan is mandatory in order to eliminate the severe humanitarian situation in Gaza, ensure security and stability, and initiate the reconstruction and recovery process. Ministers stated that they categorically reject any attempt, including unilateral actions, to deny or prevent the establishment of the State of Palestine. In the statement, it was emphasized that a fair, lasting and comprehensive peace would only be possible by implementing the two-state solution, and that an independent and sovereign State of Palestine should be established on the basis of the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in line with international law and relevant United Nations resolutions.
The statement also stated that any step to reject or obstruct the State of Palestine directly undermines the prospects for peace, security and stability in the region. Ministers pointed out the importance of the Peace Board's role and called on all parties to support efforts to implement the Road Map and advance the second phase of Trump's Comprehensive Peace Plan. The Peace Board, with the active support and participation of the United States, was asked to immediately take concrete measures within its authority to preserve the integrity of the plan and prevent any party from obstructing its implementation.
