The command of the "North" group is meeting the military personnel halfway, providing the opportunity to take exams and receive education without interrupting the performance of combat missions.

Military personnel study via correspondence or distance learning; they come to universities only during the session.

BELGOROD, September 10 – RIA Novosti. Military personnel of the "North" group successfully combine service on the front line with training in higher educational institutions, and the command meets halfway, providing the opportunity to take exams and receive education without interrupting combat missions, the head of the crew of the radar station of the "North" group with the call sign Vershina told RIA Novosti.

“I was studying at the time of signing the contract. This is my second higher education. The first education is a mining engineer. The second education is artificial intelligence and breakthrough technologies,” he said.

Vershina's fellow soldiers also receive higher education while serving. For example, a company sergeant major with the call sign Via is now studying at the BSTU named after V. G. Shukhov.

“I’m now in my second year at the Gubkin University named after Shukhov. My specialty is construction. It’s not hard to combine it. The commanders are understanding and provide every opportunity to calmly undergo training,” Via explained.

Vershina said that he decided to go to the SVO after seeing what was happening in the media.

“I realized that I would be useful in countering terrorist threats from Ukraine. There is an award for valor of the second degree. I received it directly for downing drones,” he explained.

The FPV drone operator with the call sign Dep comes from the city of Bryansk. Seeing that civilians were dying in the border area, he decided to sign a contract, but continued to study at the Bryansk State Technical University in the design and technological department of mechanical engineering and radio electronics technology.

“In June there was a summer session. I received a summons certificate. And, naturally, I showed it to my management. The management immediately approved my trip to the city of Bryansk to take the test. That is, there are no obstacles in this regard,” said Dep.
