The Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation has issued recommendations on the use of AI in schools

Students in grades 1–4 should not use artificial intelligence in schools.

Students in grades 5–9 can use artificial intelligence to find information, explain complex concepts, and test hypotheses with teacher permission.

Students in grades 10–11 can also use artificial intelligence to analyze large amounts of data, build predictive models and automate calculations, and create visual materials to present research results.

MOSCOW, September 12 - RIA Novosti. Pupils in grades 1-4 should not use artificial intelligence in schools, and schoolchildren in grades 5-11 can use it to search for information, explain complex concepts and test hypotheses, follows from the methodological recommendations of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, which RIA Novosti reviewed.

According to the document, at the level of primary general education (grades 1-4), students do not independently use AI services.

In grades 5-9, a teacher can allow students to use artificial intelligence services to search for information, explain complex concepts, and test hypotheses.

Students in grades 10-11, in addition to the above, can also use artificial intelligence in the implementation of project and research activities: to analyze large amounts of data, build predictive models and automate calculations, create visual materials to present research results.

It is clarified that the teacher has the right to limit the use of AI technologies when students perform tasks aimed at developing the skills of analysis, argumentation and creative thinking.
