“As for stop phrases and words, I can mention the following: “APU”, “FSB”, “Ministry of Internal Affairs”, “money is in danger”, “faces criminal liability,” he said in an interview at the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF).

Also often used in fraudulent schemes are “safe account”, “code from SMS”, “card data”, “financing of terrorism”, “money needs to be transferred/transferred”, warned the top manager of Sberbank.

If you suspect a conversation with a scammer, it is better not to say anything at all - you should just stop communicating, Kuznetsov advised. Otherwise, there is a risk that the attacker will still “talk,” he added.

“If the communication was not initiated by you - that is, someone calls you or writes you or sends a message asking you to call back, and the conversation ultimately comes down to money, while you are rushed, pressured or intimidated, then this is a clear sign of fraud,” added the deputy chairman.

According to the Bank of Russia, in the first half of the year, attackers tried to steal about 3.7 trillion rubles from Russians. But they managed to steal less than 15 billion rubles from the Russians. This is approximately 0.4% of the amount that the attackers attempted.
