Gwanak-gu, Seoul holds fall festival for youth, teenagers, and dog families

Gwanak-gu, Seoul (Mayor Park Jun-hee) announced on the 6th that to welcome fall, festivals were held in various places on the 5th for youth, teenagers, dogs, and their families to enjoy together.

The 8th Gwanak Youth Festival 'Gwanak Signal: G-Beyond', held at the Gwanak-gu Office Square, was an event for local youth and youth who will lead Gwanak S Valley, with the slogan 'Signal from Gwanak, heading beyond'.

This event is a festival actively planned and participated by young people. It consists of a 5km run without a record competition, ‘Morning Rave’, a DJ party in the city, and a ‘Youth Life White Paper’ where young people can get the information they need in real life.

The '2026 Gwanak S Valley Robo:On Youth Robot Competition' was held in the main auditorium on the 8th floor of the district office for elementary, middle, and high school youth.

This competition, in which about 30 students who showed excellent capabilities in the '2026 Gwanak S Valley Robo:On Youth Future Technology Education Program' participated, was held in a 'mission performance type' for lower elementary school students and a 'project presentation type' for upper elementary school and middle and high school students.

The district also operated a swimming competition enjoyed by dogs and their families at the 'Gwanak-gu Nakseongdae Dog Water Park', and events such as payback events and camping at the alley-type shopping malls of Nangok Sinsa Street and Naknakbyeol-gil.

Park Jun-hee, head of Gwanak-gu, said, “Going one step further from simply watching and enjoying the festival, the way young people think and take on challenges on their own is exactly like the ‘Korea Youth City Gwanak,’” and added, “We will continue to spare no effort in providing various policies and support for youth and youth who will grow into future talents.”
