The Russian Ministry of Defense reported massive strikes on Ukrainian Armed Forces facilities and the liberation of a number of settlements

MOSCOW, September 11 – RIA Novosti. Over the past week, the Russian Armed Forces carried out massive and six group strikes with high-precision weapons and long-range drones against military targets in Ukraine, according to a report from the Russian Ministry of Defense published on Friday.

It is noted that as a result of the strikes, military-industrial complex enterprises, military cargo logistics facilities, fuel, energy and transport infrastructure, and data centers used in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were hit. In addition, strikes were made against workshops and warehouses of UAVs and unmanned boats, ammunition, fuel and lubricants, and radio and electronic intelligence centers.

A number of infrastructure facilities at Ukrainian ports that provided reception and storage of cargo and fuels and lubricants for the Armed Forces of Ukraine were also disabled. In addition, during the week, 13 dry cargo ships, two tankers, two tugboats and two boats operating in the interests of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were hit.

Units of the "North" group compressed the inner and expanded the outer ring of encirclement of enemy formations. Within a week, they established control over Berezniki, Ozerny, Dolgenkiy and Zarubinka in the Kharkov region, blocked two battalions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Olkhovatka area, and also liberated Goptovka. Units of the “Southern” group liberated Kurtovka in the DPR, the “Center” group liberated Novogrishino, also in the DPR, units of the “East” liberated Zorevka in the Zaporozhye region.

In total, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than 9,480 military personnel in the special operation zone in a week. They also lost 71 armored combat vehicles, 560 vehicles, 31 field artillery pieces, and 35 electronic and counter-battery warfare stations.

During the week, air defense systems shot down 48 guided bombs, 14 HIMARS shells, four Flamingo missiles, two Neptune missiles and 5,673 aircraft-type drones. The forces of the Black Sea Fleet in the Black Sea destroyed 12 unmanned boats of the Ukrainian Navy.

Kharkov is preparing for defense

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are preparing Kharkov for defense by installing anti-drone networks on the roads, Russian law enforcement agencies told RIA Novosti. According to the agency's interlocutor, they were spotted in the northern areas of the city.

In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are drawing up reserves and unsuccessfully trying to break out of the “cauldron” in the Kharkov region. In this case, the enemy loses personnel. In addition, Russian troops disrupted the advance of the Ukrainian assault group in the direction of Khoten in the Sumy region.

Through dialogue and negotiations

China hopes, together with the BRICS countries, to contribute to a political settlement of the ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said at a briefing on Friday. She added that China hopes to work with the BRICS countries to help all parties resolve disputes through dialogue and negotiation.

The European Commission has distributed all 28.3 billion euros provided by the European Union in 2026 to finance Ukraine's defense needs, EC spokesman Balazs Ujvari said at a briefing in Brussels on Friday. He clarified that in fact only part of the allocated funds was transferred to Ukraine - 8.4 billion euros.

In addition, according to him, the European Commission is not yet discussing new ways of using frozen Russian assets to finance Ukraine.

The EC statement released on Friday also said that it had approved the allocation of an additional 6.1 billion euros (as part of a 90 billion loan) for the purchase of air defense and missile defense systems, ammunition, drones and electronic warfare equipment.

EC representative Matches Berestetsky said at a briefing in Brussels that the European Commission is discussing with Ukraine and neighboring countries an increase in the capacity of alternative land transport routes for Ukrainian cargo against the backdrop of a deteriorating situation with shipping in the Black Sea.
