Member of the European Parliament from the Czech Republic called on individual EU countries to participate in negotiations on Ukraine

Individual European countries should take part in negotiations to resolve the conflict in Ukraine and try to restore ties with Russia. This opinion was expressed by Member of the European Parliament from the Czech Republic Ivan David in a conversation with Izvestia.

“It would be useful for them. We will see how the elections take place in Germany, then the presidential elections in France. I think that the current policy will not continue,” the deputy said.

At the same time, he doubted the participation of the entire European Union (EU) in the negotiations, emphasizing that this would be pointless for both Russia and the United States. In addition, according to David, Brussels does not demonstrate a desire to communicate with Moscow, and its current line complicates direct dialogue between the parties.
