A reporter asked Trump if he was sure the plane was safe to fly. Trump replied: "Yes, I'm sure, otherwise I wouldn't be on the plane." The unfolded emergency escape slide could be seen being removed at the scene.

According to reports, Boeing 747-8 passenger aircraft are usually equipped with 12 inflatable emergency escape slides. The purpose of the slide is to allow passengers to safely reach the ground from a height of about 9 meters.

The Air Force did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

After Trump accepted a special plane as a gift from Qatar last year, he began flying on this giant passenger plane on July 1 this year. Before its official use, relevant units accelerated the modification work on this 747 passenger aircraft.

Trump said last week that the 747 would be suspended from service in October for unspecified safety upgrades, which are expected to take about 60 days.
