Ashley St. Clair Details Challenges in Relationship with Elon Musk

Ashley St. Clair, former partner of the world's richest man Elon Musk, has opened up about her relationship with him, challenges she faced being a single mom and being referred to as Musk's "baby Mama." According to New York Post, the former MAGA influencer claimed that, once she was expecting their child, things changed between the two. “As soon as I’m pregnant, this is when things start getting weird,” she told her followers. She opened up in a series of TikTok videos about her relationship with Musk and being in the "Elon orbit."

“There’s just things that are not adding up or that are different from what he previously said to me.” She even added that no one was "going to believe her", but insisted that Musk was “so much more normal” before she got pregnant. St. Clair claimed she was misled about the tech billionaire's relationships with the other women he shares children with, among other things.

“It was [a] very normal conversation,” she continued. “His demeanour was normal. I know I’m going to get roasted for this, but in private, he was funny, but then it just got so f–king weird, man.”

Ashley St. Clair also shared that she was “already a single mom” when she met the billionaire, having welcomed a son with a previous partner. “The chances of me getting married and the white picket fence and the white dress, I believed that was out the window for me because I was already ‘stained’ as a single mom,” St. Clair, 27, said. “But, I wanted nothing more than to be a mom. I wanted more kids.” Elon Musk is yet to respond to these claims.

Single parenting difficult thing

Ashley St. Clair called the experience of single parenting and “wondering if you’re going to be able to pay the bills for your kids” a “difficult” thing.

“So, when Elon was like, ‘You should have kids, my only limited resource is time,’ of course, it is appealing to do what I always wanted to…be a mom and not have to worry about the s–t going on in this economy.” “I don’t think that’s a crazy position to take,” she added. “It’s more like, ‘My kids are always going to be taken care of.'"

Elon Musk encouraged more children

St. Clair, 27, said she first crossed paths with Elon Musk while working as a MAGA influencer, and at age 23, she got swept up in the "Elon orbit." "At that point in my life, because I'm involved in MAGA and the right wing and I'm already a single mom," she said in the nearly 20-minute long video, uploaded May 15.

St. Clair noted that "economic factor is a decision when anybody has kids with anybody," and most people who "have more than two brain cells" consider their financial standing while family planning.

St. Clair revealed in February 2025 that she secretly welcomed their child five months earlier, later revealing his name to be Romulus. "Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father," St. Clair wrote in an X post at the time. "I have not previously disclosed this to protect our child's privacy and safety, but in recent days it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause."

Elon Musk did not publicly respond to Ashley St. Clair’s claims until March 2025, when he reacted to a video in which she alleged he had reduced their son’s child support by 60 per cent.

In a March 31, 2025, post on X, Musk wrote: “I don’t know if the child is mine or not, but am not against finding out. No court order is needed. Despite not knowing for sure, I have given Ashley $2.5M and am sending her $500k/year.”

St. Clair later claimed that Musk refused to take a paternity test and significantly reduced child support payments as punishment for what she described as “disobedience.”

Musk reportedly seeks custody of son Romulus

In January, Elon Musk said he was seeking custody of their son, Romulus, after St. Clair shared social media posts supporting the transgender community. In a post on X that was later deleted, Musk reportedly said he would seek full custody because of statements he believed implied “transitioning a 1-year-old boy.”

St. Clair later said in a video that her life was under constant legal scrutiny.

“Everything I do is watched by eight attorneys, four different law firms,” she said. “I’m in three different courts.”

She also claimed she was being followed and said she was tired of being portrayed as “combative and chaotic.” According to St. Clair, she chose to speak publicly because she wanted to move forward with her life and not be known only as “Elon Musk’s baby mama.”

Elon Musk’s children and family

In addition to Romulus, Elon Musk is publicly known to have multiple children with several partners. He shares children with musician Grimes, Shivon Zilis, and his former wife Justine Wilson. Musk and Wilson’s first child died at 10 weeks old in 2002. Musk’s son X Æ A-12 recently travelled with him to China during a delegation visit connected to US President Donald Trump.
