Attack Ranucci, Lavitola's lawyer: 'He asked to increase the escort'

"The documents show that Ranucci himself had asked to increase the escort." Thus Sergio Cola, lawyer of Valter Lavitola, in prison accused of being the instigator of the attack on Sigfrido Ranucci.

Regarding the aspects of his client's statements considered 'smoky' by the magistrates, the lawyer reports that the same co-defendants in the investigation, the perpetrators of the attack, maintain in some statements that "they had no intention of harming Ranucci, as can be seen from the methods of the attack".

Regarding the hypothesis of a 'third level' in the affair, the lawyer comments: "conjecture". And he adds: "it is understandable that after the attack Ranucci understood who the instigator was".

Early next week the lawyers will present a new request for review of Lavitola's precautionary measures. An integration of Lavitola's statements is also being considered with the request for a new interrogation regarding some aspects deemed 'smoky' by the magistrates. One of the lawyers, Arturo Cola, will visit the former entrepreneur detained in Rebibbia prison tomorrow.
