Spokesperson Chen Binhua said that this year marks the 81st anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. Taiwan compatriots have a glorious tradition of patriotism. During the turbulent years of the Anti-Japanese War, thousands of Taiwan compatriots crossed the Taiwan Strait without hesitation and joined the national war of resistance, making contributions to defeating Japanese fascism and regaining Taiwan. The victory of the Anti-Japanese War was a great victory forged by all Chinese people, including Taiwan compatriots, who fought without fear of violence, persevered, and fought bloody battles.
