BJP Launches Youth Outreach Program to Engage Students and First-Time Voters

New Delhi: BJP is set to launch youth outreach in the coming days to deepen its connection with first-time voters and students through campus engagement and activities aligned with young people's interests.

The push is expected to begin with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's likely engagement with students at Delhi University's Shri Ram College of Commerce on Teachers' Day as the institution celebrates its centenary. It will be followed by the party's annual Sewa Pakhawada starting from September's second week.

This year, it will feature a month-long Vadnagar-to-Varanasi yatra organised by BJP's youth wing and also, cycling events, marathons, hackathons, innovation challenges and other youth-centric programmes.

The outreach comes in the backdrop of recent youth protests, with BJP seeking to sharpen its engagement with students and young voters through service activities, campus connect and grassroots mobilisation.

The highlight of the campaign will be BJP Yuva Morcha's Vadnagar-to-Varanasi and Varanasi-to-Vadnagar motorcycle yatra beginning September 17, the PM's birthday. Simultaneous expeditions will start from Modi's birthplace in Gujarat and his Lok Sabha constituency in UP, with 10 teams setting out from each city.

The nearly 1,500-km East-to-West outreach will pass through several districts of Gujarat and UP, both heading for assembly polls next year. Each team, comprising bikers, party workers and support vehicles, will cover about 100 km a day and organise four public programmes at every halt to highlight the Centre's welfare initiatives and governance record.

Unlike previous editions, this year's Sewa Pakhawada lays emphasis on school students, college-goers, postgraduate scholars and young innovators. BJP has planned drawing and speech competitions under 'Bacchon Ke Sapno Ka Bharat', nationwide stage performances, hackathons and innovation challenges in major cities, besides runs, cycling events, bike rallies and youth pledge campaigns.

The campaign will also feature the sharing of 25 lakh inspirational stories on social media under 'Kahani Bharat Ki', influencer-led Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, Seva Jyoti installations, Rangoli Rashtrata, Seva Mera Yogdan activities, Seva Setu Abhiyan and the Jansevak Mahakumbh from panchayats to Parliament.

Party leaders said the aim is to combine service with political engagement among young Indians, broaden BJP's organisational footprint and build a stronger connect with first-time voters ahead of the next electoral cycle.
