Russian Ambassador to Poland Georgy Mikhno presented his credentials to the country's President Karol Nawrocki. The embassy reported this on its Telegram channel.

“On September 11, 2026, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Poland Georgy Viktorovich Mikhno presented his credentials to His Excellency Karol Nawrocki, President of the Republic of Poland,” the publication says.

Earlier, Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski said that Europe should introduce more stringent restrictions on Russian diplomats and citizens visiting EU countries. In particular, he called for limiting freedom of movement and the number of Russian diplomats working in European countries, as there are “too many of them.”
