This short, thin-figured middle-aged man is the Party branch secretary of Labi Village, Sale Township, Gyirong County, Xigaze City, Tibet. In this disaster, Pamba's mother-in-law and brother-in-law are still missing.

On August 26, a sudden landslide on the Nepali side caused heavy casualties and missing persons at the Gyirong Port in Gyirong County, Xigaze City, Tibet.

Labi Village is located on the China-Nepal border, relatively close to the source of this landslide disaster. After the landslide, the collapsed mountain blocked the river to form a barrier lake, threatening the lives and safety of the villagers in Labi Village.

Pamba, who had not yet recovered from his grief, immediately issued an emergency evacuation notice in the villagers' WeChat group and quickly organized the villagers to relocate.

"Once we leave, the corn in the fields will definitely be eaten by wild boars." "If we leave, what about the chickens at home?"... Facing the villagers' concerns, Pamba patiently persuaded them. Around 14:00 on the 26th, 40 households with 97 people evacuated Labi Village with some of their valuables and relocated to the safer Sale Village.

"It wasn't just our village that needed to be relocated; there were also Seqiong Village and Guoba Village," Pamba said. Because Sale Township lacked stable settlement conditions, all the villagers were transferred the next day to homestays in Jipu Village, Gyirong Town, for resettlement.

Since the day he arrived at the settlement site, he had been inquiring everywhere about the villagers' needs. "What worries me most are the elderly in the village." Pamba specifically compiled a list of people who needed long-term medication, regularly checking medicine stocks every day and reminding them to take their medicine on time.

An elderly woman in her 70s in the village had limited mobility, so he delivered meals to her door every day and checked on her physical condition. Every time he left, he always asked one more question: "Are you feeling uncomfortable? If you feel uncomfortable, call me anytime."
