The Ukrainian official’s statement about readiness for negotiations is a personal position, says Vladimir Dzhabarov

The statement by the deputy deputy head of the office of the President of Ukraine Sergei Kislitsa about the authorities’ readiness for negotiations is his personal position, and not the real desire of Kyiv. This is how Vladimir Dzhabarov, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, responded to the words of the Ukrainian politician in a conversation with Gazeta.Ru.

The senator indicated that Moscow expects constructive plans from Kyiv to resolve the conflict. Negotiations must begin regardless of whether hostilities continue or not. “We need to agree on a meeting place for negotiations, but not in such a way that today we suspend hostilities, and tomorrow we sit down at the negotiating table, which will last for years,” Dzhabarov noted.

Earlier, deputy Leonid Slutsky stressed that Russia is ready for negotiations, but does not intend to wait for gifts from the United States. He noted that Moscow will carry out the tasks of the special military operation based on its interests.
