Two people died when a Cessna-172 light aircraft crashed in Tatarstan

In the village of Shemordan, a Cessna-172 light aircraft crashed into the garden of a private house, killing the pilot and passenger.

The Federal Air Transport Agency classified the incident as a disaster; the Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) with the participation of the Volga Interregional Territorial Administration of the Federal Air Transport Agency will investigate the causes.

MOSCOW, September 12 - RIA Novosti. The Federal Air Transport Agency classified the crash of the Cessna-172 light aircraft as a disaster, the agency reported.

According to information from the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for Tatarstan, a Cessna-172 light aircraft crashed into the garden of a private residential building in the village of Shemordan. The pilot and passenger were killed. The Interregional Investigation Department noted that the cause of the crash could have been pilot error or technical malfunctions of the aircraft.

“Rosaviation classified the event as a disaster,” the agency reported.

The investigation into the causes of the crash will be carried out by the Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) with the participation of the Volga Interregional Territorial Administration of the Federal Air Transport Agency, Rosaviation noted.
