Sino Hero Ventures Limited sued Hong Kong actor Louis Koo, demanding repayment of HKD 149 million.

Hong Kong actor Louis Koo was ordered by the plaintiff to repay principal and interest of 149 million HKD (19 million USD).

According to Jieman, in an application submitted to the Hong Kong court, Sino Hero Ventures Limited said that in 2019, they signed an agreement to lend Co Thien Lac's company One Cool Group a loan of 70 million HKD (8.9 million USD). The two sides agreed that the payment deadline is September 2020. If not returned on time, the interest rate will be higher.

In 2020, both sides signed an extension agreement until the end of 2022, but at that time, Co Thien Lac's side did not pay in full, causing the plaintiff to ask for it many times. According to a representative of Sino Hero Ventures Limited, as of August 28, Co Thien Lac and One Cool Group still owe a total of 149 million HKD (19 million USD) in principal and interest.

On September 4, the actor's company posted a notice saying that the plaintiff had not provided complete information about the lawsuit, especially that the company had been dissolved for nearly three years, during which time One Cool Group could not contact the authorized representative.

Co Thien Lac's representative said the plaintiff violated some binding agreements in the contract. "The lawsuit is currently in the court process, we will not comment further at this stage, thank you for everyone's attention," Co Thien Lac's side said.

One Cool Group was founded by Co Thien Lac and his mother in 2013, the main fields are investment and film production. They have done many works such as Apostle Practitioner, Mai Diem Phuong, Minh Nhat Chien Ky, Cuu Long Becomes a Boy, Time Machine.
