According to the website of the Central Meteorological Observatory, yesterday (September 5), moderate to heavy rains occurred in parts of southern Fujian, southern Jiangxi, eastern and southern Guangdong, southeastern Guangxi, western Yunnan, southern Tibet, and central and southern Taiwan. Local heavy rains occurred in Dongguan and Zhaoqing of Guangdong, Xishuangbanna of Yunnan, and Tainan of Taiwan.

Affected by the cold air, it is expected that from the 6th to the 9th, Qinghai, Gansu, Ningxia, Shaanxi, Inner Mongolia, Heilongjiang, North China, and the western Sichuan Basin will experience light to moderate rains, locally heavy to heavy rains, accompanied by strong convective weather such as short-term heavy precipitation, thunderstorms, strong winds, or hail; in addition, there will still be light to moderate rains or thundershowers, and locally heavy rains in parts of eastern Jiangnan, South China, Yunnan, and southern Tibet.

Today, there will be moderate to heavy rain in parts of eastern Qinghai, central Gansu, most of Ningxia, the Hetao area and northeastern part of Inner Mongolia, western Heilongjiang, and western Jilin. Among them, there will be heavy rain (50-80 mm) in some areas in western Heilongjiang, central Ningxia, and northern Taiwan Island. In some areas of Inner Mongolia and the Shandong Peninsula, there are winds of magnitude 4-6; affected by "Korowan", most of the East China Sea, the ocean east of Taiwan, the Bashi Strait, and the coast of Zhejiang have winds of magnitude 6-7 and gusts of magnitude 8-9.

The public in the northern region also needs to pay attention to the strong winds and cooling weather brought by the cold air. From the 6th to the 9th, the temperature dropped by 4-6°C in central and western Inner Mongolia, Gansu, Qinghai, North China, Northeast China and other places, and the local temperature dropped to 8-10°C, accompanied by winds of level 4-5 and gusts of level 6-7.

Experts remind that most areas in the north will usher in a significant rainfall process, with cumulative precipitation reaching 30-60 mm in some areas and 80-100 mm locally. The public needs to be alert to flash floods, geological disasters, urban rainstorms, and small and medium-sized river floods. In addition, cold air will affect most areas in northern my country, with some areas experiencing significant cooling and large temperature differences between day and night. The public needs to pay attention to temperature changes and add clothing in a timely manner.
