Democratic Party leader vows to back Lee Won-taek's budget pledges if elected governor

Han Byung-do, co-chair of the Democratic Party's election committee and National Assembly member for Iksan, Jeonbuk, declared on the 2nd, "If candidate Lee Won-taek becomes the governor of Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province, the Democratic Party will become Lee Won-taek's 'budget guarantee check.'"

Speaking at a press conference at the Jeonbuk Provincial Council that day, he praised Lee as "the true worker who will revitalize Jeonbuk and uphold the pride of the residents," emphasizing this point.

Han stated, "Budgets cannot be brought in with mere words. You need the power to pass laws in the National Assembly and to control the budget," adding, "We will create laws related to Lee Won-taek's pledges, such as the renewable energy industry, agro-bio industry, and fostering companies with 100 billion won in sales, and pour in the budget to make them a reality."

He continued, "Lee Won-taek will be the first person to enter the National Assembly after the start of the 9th popularly elected term," and asserted, "The great leap forward for Jeonbuk can be led by the Lee Jae-myung administration and the Democratic Party."

He then appealed, "This election is the opportunity to definitively break Jeonbuk's triple and quadruple marginalization," and stressed, "The only true Democratic Party candidate who will ensure the success of the Lee Jae-myung administration and take responsibility for Jeonbuk's vision and future is Lee Won-taek. Please go to the polling stations tomorrow and elect Lee Won-taek, number 1, with overwhelming support."
