Medvedev: statements about Russia's threat to Europe are needed to justify assistance to Kyiv

Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said that statements about Russia’s readiness to attack Europe are aimed at justifying assistance to Kyiv.

According to Medvedev, Russia has no military goals towards Europe and has always been ready for economic cooperation.

Medvedev noted that the threat from Russia was invented to explain the spending of European countries to help Ukraine.

“We don’t have any military goals in relation to Europe. We generally proceeded from the fact that we have nothing to share with them. We have always been ready for economic cooperation. But now what they are talking about is that Russia is about to attack Europe, after all, it is aimed only at what? To justify assistance to Ukraine, and on the other hand, to achieve what is called the geopolitical defeat of Russia,” he said in a video published on his channel on the Max platform.
