Eduardo Paes visits the facilities of the Duque de Caxias Security Secretariat and proposes a unique security system in Rio de Janeiro

The PSD candidate for the government of Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo Paes, visited the facilities of the Municipal Public Security Secretariat of Duque de Caxias, in Baixada Fluminense, this Friday (11).

Paes visited the gym, the operations room and the structure of the Municipal Force. The model that exists in Caxias and the city of Rio, according to the candidate, can be taken to other municipalities, with armed municipal guards and patrols guided by crime indicators, in addition to monitoring the city using cameras.

The proposal is to create a single security system in Rio de Janeiro, integrating municipal guards from across the state, as well as camera monitoring. According to Paes, the idea is to combine planning, technology and intelligence to reinforce street safety.

"The single security system in Rio de Janeiro will also include financial resources so that we can encourage cities like Itaperuna, Campos, Volta Redonda, Barra Mansa, so that we have a larger force on the streets carrying out overt policing," said Paes.
