L'operazione costituisce - sottolinea l'Ue - "un elemento centrale della più ampia sinergia di investimento tra il Piano Mattei dell'Italia per l'Africa e la strategia Global Gateway dell'Unione Europea, a seguito del vertice Global Gateway-Piano Mattei tenutosi a Roma il 20 luglio 2025, alla presenza del presidente del Consiglio italiano Giorgia Meloni e della presidente della Commissione Europea Ursula von der Leyen".
'Terra' è un programma sostenuto dall'Ue e promosso da Cdp per accelerare la transizione verso sistemi agroalimentari più sostenibili e resilienti, rafforzando l'accesso al credito per le imprese che operano lungo le filiere agroalimentari africane.
