64/68: Who else is on track for points?
M By Michael Doyle
Franco Colapinto (Alpine) is currently sixth — that would be a great result.

Ninth and 10th belong to Carlos Sainz (Williams) and Oliver Bearman (Haas).

Hadjar is still fifth.
62/68: Hamilton up to second
M By Michael Doyle
Brilliant from Lewis Hamilton.
He knew he could not make the move on Max Verstappen on the last corner of the lap, so he chose to attack at the first corner.
He got a lovely run out of the final chicane, caught up to Verstappen on the start-finish straight, and then made a great overtake on the outside.
Great driving from both.
58/68: Hamilton is close by needs more power
M By Michael Doyle
The best place to overtake is at the end of the long back straight.
That is where Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton seems to be at a disadvantage. The Ferrari does not have the pace to fly past the Red Bull.
"I need more power, mate," Hamilton tells his team.
57/68: Max Verstappen defending from Lewis Hamilton
M By Michael Doyle
The battle for second is getting exciting.
Lewis Hamilton is on the rear wing of Max Verstappen.
Hamilton, in the Ferrari, is clearly faster.
But Verstappen, in the Red Bull, is putting is car in all of the right spots to defend.

M By Michael Doyle
We have another VSC.
Marshalls may need to be on track to clear debris.
This has given Isack Hadjar and Oscar Piastri the chance to pit and serve their penalties.
Hadjar is fifth, and Piastri drops to 13th.
52/68: Oscar Piastri is 11th with a 10-second penalty

50/68: Lewis Hamilton is catching Max Verstappen
M By Michael Doyle
Kimi Antonelli is comfortably in the lead of this race.
He has a 5-second advantage over Max Verstappen.
Verstappen, however, has an emerging problem.
That problem is Lewis Hamilton, with the Ferrari driver narrowing the deficit to the Red Bull man to 2 seconds.
It was 6 seconds about 10 laps ago.
George Russell on his early retirement
M By Michael Doyle
George Russell has just spoken to Sky Sports.
Just everything turned off all of a sudden. Engine stopped, no electronics. A bit lost for words.
I'm proud of my weekend. Pole in the Sprint, won the Sprint, pole, leading when I stopped. Nothing more I could have done this weekend. I'm pretty damn frustrated with what happened.
46/68: Virtual Safety Car called with debris on track
M By Michael Doyle
The debris is quickly removed, and we are back to full racing after about 30 seconds.
PENALTY: Isack Hadjar — 10 seconds
M By Michael Doyle
Red Bull driver Isack Hadjar has been given a 10-second penalty for moving too many times while under braking, defending from Charles Leclerc.
It should not make too much of a difference. Hadjar is fifth, 41 seconds ahead of Alpine's Franco Colapinto in sixth.
LANDO NORRIS OUT
M By Michael Doyle
Lando Norris is out of the race.
The McLaren driver has reported a gearbox issue as he drives his car off to an escape road.
That is a pity for Norris, who had got back up to eighth, after needing to pit on lap 2 after McLaren fitted him with intermediate tyres.
40/68: Charles Leclerc passes Isack Hadjar for fourth place
M By Michael Doyle
Isack Hadjar is desperately defending fourth place from Charles Leclerc.
The stewards noted Hadjar's defensive driving.
But Leclerc is finally able to make the move.
Open Questions
- Will there be further penalties or incidents?
- Can any other drivers break into the points positions?
- What caused George Russell's retirement?
