据介绍，本届活动由广东省科协主办，广东省青少年科技教育协会等单位联合相关地市科协、教育部门承办，分为上半年和下半年两期。日前，第一期活动深入广州、云浮、湛江3市8县区，加拿大工程院院士、华南理工大学吴贤铭，华南理工大学智能工程学院创院院长杜如虚，携手中国科学院老科学家科普演讲团及省科普讲师团共15位专家，走进87所中小学校，为2万名青少年带来了一场科学盛宴。
此次活动汇聚了中国科学院、中国航天员中心、国家自然博物馆及中山大学、华南理工大学等高校科研院所的顶尖力量。专家们紧扣物理学、人工智能、古生物学、航天医学工程等前沿领域，通过现场讲授、互动交流与言传身教相结合的方式，生动讲述科研故事，解读科技成就，在青少年心中播撒科学的种子。
