Bournemouth lost their opener after conceding two late goals at Manchester City, and Marco Rose’s side meet an Everton side seeking to start a league season with back-to-back wins for the first time since 2020. Elsewhere, Coventry host Hull in a meeting of promoted teams who began their seasons in contrasting fashions – and we’ll have live updates from the Championship, Bundesliga and beyond.

South Africa seek to level the Greatest Rivalry series in Cape Town, where the All Blacks have played their hosts 11 times since 1928, winning seven. The scrum was a potent penalty-earning weapon for the Boks last Saturday at Ellis Park until the 56th minute, when the All Blacks forced a defensive scrum penalty in front of their posts. New Zealand quickly turned a three-point lead into 10 and went on to win 33-16 in a thrilling upset. But the main theme of this week’s buildup has been about a backlash from South Africa, who haven’t lost two home Tests in a row at home since August 2015. Scott Murray provides the overview on the pick of Saturday’s Premier League matches. Spurs were bludgeoned 3-0 by Brentford last weekend, a torrid start to the season for Roberto De Zerbi’s new-look side. Matthias Jaissle’s team were only denied by a 99th-minute penalty equaliser against Liverpool, and both teams enjoyed morale-boosting Carabao Cup wins in midweek. 10pm Moses Itauma v Filip Hrgovic live

The IBF belt relinquished by Oleksandr Usyk will be on the line in London and the 21-year-old Moses Itauma (14-0, 12 KOs) could become the second-youngest heavyweight champion of all time. Croatia’s Filip Hrgovic (20-1, 15KOs) will be the toughest challenge of Itauma’s fledgling career. There is plenty of expectation surrounding the British prospect, with Prince Naseem Hamed claiming Itauma is a “million times better” than Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury and could become the best of all time.
