As the stable and general distribution date of iOS 27 is approaching, iPhone models that will support the new version and will complete the update life by remaining out of the list have been finalized. The update, which reaches a wide range of devices, marks the end of the road for some popular models.
Apple continues its new naming policy with iOS 27, which matches operating system versions to the next calendar year, similar to car models.
Aiming to end the version confusion between platforms, the company brings significant optimizations both on the interface side and system stability with this update. Following the completion of the developer and public beta processes, the stable version is available for general use this week.

Which Models Are Excluded from the Update?
As with every major iOS release, some popular models have been removed from the support list due to aging processor architectures and hardware limits.
