All in readiness for KKR's 100th IPL game at Eden Gardens, and it is former KKR skipper, Eoin Morgan, who rings the bell, signalling the start of the play. The umpires are the first ones out in the middle, followed by the players of Gujarat Titans. It will be the duo of Ajinkya Rahane and Finn Allen to open the innings for the Knight Riders. Mohammed Siraj has the new ball in hand, and he's raring to go. Let's play..

1 Overs0.1 Score1 - 0 Mohammed Siraj to Ajinkya Rahane, A single and KKR are underway! A bit of tail in on the leg stump line, on a length. Rahane clips it behind square on the leg side for an easy run to get off the mark.

2 Overs2.1 Score15 - 0 Mohammed Siraj to Finn Allen, In the air...lands safely! Full, shaping away from middle to off. Finn Allen tries to whip it over mid-wicket, trying to play across the line, but gets a thick leading edge and slices it over mid off. Shubman Gill sprints towards the ball and manages to stop it before the fence. Two taken.

0 Overs2.3 Score15 - 0 Mohammed Siraj to Finn Allen, Oh, trying to be adventurous there! Hands on head for Siraj. Hard length ball, on top of middle. Finn Allen shuffles far across the stumps to scoop it over short fine leg, but misses and the ball scarily passes over the stumps on its way to the keeper.

4 Overs2.4 Score19 - 0 Mohammed Siraj to Finn Allen, FOUR! Flashed away! Back of a length, nipping away, outside off. Allen plays off the back foot and flashes hard at it. Gets more of an outside edge and it flies over and between backward point and short third for a boundary.

2 Overs2.6 Score25 - 0 Mohammed Siraj to Finn Allen, DROPPED! Holder is the man, and if anyone could have got his hands on it, it is that bloke. Hits the deck hard, outside off, it doesn't rise much. Allen gets on the toes and tries to punch it over cover, but does not hit it off the middle. Jason Holder leaps and tries to pluck the ball with his right hand extended above, but the ball clips his fingertips and rolls behind to the deep for two runs.

6 Overs3.2 Score32 - 0 Kagiso Rabada to Finn Allen, SIX! High and handsome and that gets the crowd going! Full into the slot, outside off. Allen gets under it nicely and bludgeons it over the long off fence for a huge six. Right out of the screws.

4 Overs4.2 Score44 - 0 Mohammed Siraj to Ajinkya Rahane, FOUR! Streaky, but they all count! At 136.5 kph, on a length, on off and middle. Rahane closes the bat face as he looks to shove it behind square leg. The ball straightens a bit to catch the top edge and flies well over short third for a boundary.

W Overs4.3 Score44 - 1 Mohammed Siraj to Ajinkya Rahane, OUT! CLEANED HIM UP! Mohammed Siraj provides the first strike for the Titans. 200th T20 wicket for Siraj. It is the nip-backer, attacking the sticks, on a length. Rahane goes across the line once again, but his feet go nowhere. The ball comes back in to go past the inside edge and crashes into the stumps. End of a 44-run opening stand.

1lb Overs5.2 Score48 - 1 Kagiso Rabada to Angkrish Raghuvanshi, A decision that could have gone either way. Rabada attacks the front pad and gets the ball to jag back in off the surface. Raghuvanshi leans across the line of the ball to clip it away on the leg side. He plays all around it to get hit on the flap of the front pad. A loud shout, but it has been turned down. The ball rolls away in front of point and the batters sneak in a leg bye. Shubman Gill has a chat with the bowler and the keeper before going for the review. The angle seems to take the ball past the leg stump. UltraEdge shows no bat but the Ball Tracking has the ball clipping the leg stump. It is umpire's call. The on-field decision has been upheld but GT retain their review.

Review time! That did seem to have kept a bit low. A loud shout for LBW is turned down, and after a long discussion, Shubman Gill does take the DRS. The third umpire checks UltraEdge first and there's no bat involved. Ball Tracking shows the wickets as umpire's call and the on-field call stands. NOT OUT!

1wd Overs5.3 Score49 - 1 Kagiso Rabada to Finn Allen, Wide! Rabada spots Allen moving across the stumps for the scoop and pushes it away from the batter. Finn tries to get his hands in line with the ball and angle it past short third but misses. Kagiso Rabada is not happy with the wide call and Gill challenges the wide call. He hangs low and manages to get under the ball. Plays the scoop and it sails over the keeper for a six.
