Iranian President Pezeshkian: 'Our Economic Problems Have Increased Many Times'

According to the Iranian press, speaking at a meeting, Pezeshkian, without mentioning the US naval blockade, stated that imported products had reached the country through more direct routes in the past, but today they can be brought into Iran through various routes, and that this increases the final cost of the products.

Drawing attention to the decrease in state revenues, the Iranian President said, "Our income has also decreased. We used to sell oil, but now we cannot." he said. Pezeşkiyan stated that the damage to industrial facilities in the country also aggravated the economic situation and said, "They hit and destroyed many factories." he said.

Emphasizing that this situation also affects tax revenues, Pezeşkiyan said, "We cannot collect taxes from the factories, not only that, but we also have to give them money so that they can survive." he said.
