Israel's Attacks on Lebanon Continue, UN Emphasizes Fragility

In the news of Lebanon's official agency NNA, it was stated that Israeli forces blew up some houses and infrastructures in the eastern and fourth neighborhoods of the Meshaa region between the Mansouri and Majdel Zun towns of Sur city.

The news stated that Israeli forces used barrels containing explosive materials with high destructive power in these attacks.

It was reported that the Israeli army launched an artillery attack on the Mansuri town of Sur district, and Israeli military vehicles moved to the area and carried barrels full of explosives.

In NNA's news, it was noted that a Merkava tank and a D9 type bulldozer belonging to the Israeli army entered the town of Mansouri.

It was reported that an Israeli unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) dropped 2 stun bombs on the Aziye-Mansuri road, and Israeli UAVs were flying over the Sur region in the early hours of this morning.

The news stated that two air strikes were carried out by Israeli warplanes in the Ali et-Tahir Forest region of Nabatiyeh.

It was reported that Israeli forces also carried out explosions in the Hadasa and Vadi Beraşit towns of Bint Cubeyl district of Nabatiyeh.

In the Hasbaya district, it was stated that Israeli forces entered the Helta Farm and surrounded some houses and did not allow some residents to leave their homes.

UN emphasized the "fragility of the situation" due to Israel's increasing attacks on Lebanon

The United Nations (UN) stated that Israel's attacks and violations in Lebanon continue despite the ceasefire and emphasized the "fragility" of the situation in the region.

UN Secretary General Spokesperson Stephane Dujarric gave information at the daily press conference.

Stating that the UN Interim Task Force on Lebanon (UNIFIL) officials reported that Israeli violence increased throughout August, Dujarric said that it was determined that 56 missiles were fired towards Lebanon by the Israeli army the previous day and 84 yesterday.

Drawing attention to Israel's ceasefire violations, Dujarric said, "recent developments emphasize the fragility of the situation," and noted that Hezbollah has not launched any missiles since June 21.

Dujarric pointed out that Israel, in addition to violating Lebanese airspace on a daily basis, continues its air strikes, land activities and naval operations, and stated that it is observed that it is constantly strengthening the positions in the south of Lebanon and carrying out engineering works with civilian personnel.

Dujarric said, "We reiterate our call for the Israeli army to withdraw from all positions north of the Blue Line within the framework of UN resolution 1701." he said.

Israel's attacks on Lebanon have been continuing since March 2. More than 4 thousand people lost their lives, more than 12 thousand people were injured, and more than 1 million people were displaced in the attacks.

The ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel, which came into force on April 17, was later extended several times. However, despite the ceasefire, the Israeli army continues its attacks against the country for various reasons.

Israel also continues to occupy some regions in the south of Lebanon.
