Istanbul Başakşehir Loses to Trabzonspor 2-1: Nuri Şahin's Assessment

Istanbul Başakşehir was defeated 2-1 away by Trabzonspor in the 2nd week of the Super Lig. Stating that they did not start the match well, head coach Nuri Şahin said, "If you want to win against a quality team like this, we needed to play much more courageously at this level. We somehow stayed in the match, but I think we deserved the defeat. I congratulate Trabzonspor. I also wish them success during the week."

Expressing that they had worked during the week against the Egyptian player Salah, Şahin said, "We made our preparations against both Salah's pressure on the flank and his pressure as a number 10. The opponent played just as we expected. But we couldn't play the way we wanted. We have played better matches here in the past. Rather than the plan, we should have been a team that was braver and kept the ball at its feet. We made too many turnovers."
