TRY TIME! Souths go in again

Keaon Koloamatangi is over as he isolates Jayden Campbell and runs straight through his chest to crash over.

It's still just one try, but the Rabbitohs are doing whatever they want through the middle of the field.

The metres are flowing easily and the defence is looking flimsy.

A fitting first try-scorer for the Rabbitohs

There's absolutely nothing on for the Rabbitohs right in front of the goalposts as Cody Walker offloads to a flat-footed Cameron Murray.

He charges straight and hard, and the man who replaced Jai Arrow bursts through the flimsiest defence.

Souths get through their first set, but the Titans can't as Keano Kini drops the ball and convinces his captain to burn their captain's challenge in the process.

Arrow waves the trainers away!

The substitution will be made after the opening whistle, but before Souths receive the kick-off.

Cam Murray has the Stand With Jai substitution card in his hand and Arrow, ever the larrikin, waves them off with a smile before eventually heading off.

Jai Arrow leads out the Rabbitohs

As the man of the moment heads the South Sydney squad, the Titans, littered with former teammates of Arrow's greet him too.

The emotion is clear on his face as he walks out to the tune of You'll Never Walk Alone.

Cody Walker is sticking by his side, helping him walk across the field and under the goalposts as the crowd rises to meet him.

Goosebumps.

What a moment.

Adam Reynolds denies 'rift' with Michael Maguire ... again

J

By Jon Healy

After the mixed messaging with his retirement and the botched pre-game tribute on Thursday, retiring Broncos captain and halfback Adam Reynolds has now had to defend his post-match speech in which he forgot to mention coach Michael Maguire in his long list of people he was thanking.

Posting on Instagram, Reynolds says it was simply an oversight and people shouldn't read too much into it.

"Myself and Madge are good," he posted.

"There's no rift between us and I don't want that narrative being created. I wouldn't be where I am today or have had the career I've had without Madge and the impact he's had on me.

"I've got an enormous amount of respect for him as a coach and, more importantly, as a person. We've built a friendship over the years that will go well beyond footy.

"Nothing but respect and gratitude from my end."

Bennett says Arrow is 'really nervous'

J

By Jon Healy

Rabbitohs coach Wayne Bennett says Jai Arrow is feeling some nerves ahead of his cameo this afternoon.

"He's really nervous, real nervous, the worst he's ever been," Bennett tells Fox.

"I've asked him why but he kind of hasn't answered the question."

The supercoach says Arrow has remained an important part of the team during the week.

"He turns up to training every day and the friendship, the mateship's there. He needs us and we need him," Bennett says.

Arrow was apparently the first one on the bus and sitting right up front next to the coach, and Bennett knows he'll have to get his shepherd's crook out to hook Arrow off the field.

"I didn't have the heart to tell him he's just running on, he's not staying on."

Titans hold off fast-finishing Raiders in NRLW

J

By Jon Healy

The Gold Coast Titans have joined the Roosters atop the NRLW table with a 26-20 win over Canberra.

The Titans had scored six tries to one by the time there was 20 minutes left in the game, before a Mackenzie Wiki hat-trick, including a try in the last minute, tightened the margin right down.

But the Titans did enough to join the Roosters on eight wins for the year, albeit having played one more game and with Coasters' only loss coming against the Tricolours.

Wayne Bennett helps Jai Arrow dress for the second last time

J

By Jon Healy

Straight away the emotions are flowing as coach Wayne Bennett and assistant Jason Clark help Jai Arrow put his socks and jersey on for the second last time.

And wasn't Jai loving having the supercoach waiting on him hand and foot, literally.

"Wayne Bennett's coached nearly 1,000 games in the NRL and I've never seen him put a player's socks on ever," Kevin Walters says on Fox League.

What a beautiful moment.
