The Champions League resumed on Tuesday September 8. The first day of the league phase continued on Wednesday, September 9, with the entry of Paris Saint-Germain against Slovan Bratislava. The reigning European champions, expected to bounce back after a failed start to the season in Ligue 1, did not miss the opportunity to put the dots on the i's by winning by a wide margin 6-1.

Ferran Torres, who arrived in the capital this summer, scored his first hat-trick in C1 against the Slovak club, while Ousmane Dembélé, for his part, went with a double and two assists.
