Details regarding the aprons that teachers will use before the new academic year have become clear. The Teacher Apron Standards Guide prepared by the Ministry of National Education (MEB) creates a common design framework across the country for the aprons to be used by teachers working at different education levels.
According to the guide published by the Ministry of Education, teacher uniforms were based on a comfortable, useful, functional, simple and aesthetic design approach. When determining the aprons, the characteristics of the educational environment and the daily use needs of the teachers were taken into account.
The model, fabric, size and other technical specifications of the aprons prepared for male and female teachers and pre-school teachers were included separately in the guide.
A LETTER WAS SENT TO THE PROVINCES WITHIN THE SCOPE OF THE CIRCULAR
In the circular titled "Work and Procedures for the 2026-2027 Academic Year" sent to the provinces this year with the signature of the Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin, it was emphasized that teachers will wear aprons while performing their duties.
In the letter sent to the provinces by the Ministry, it is stated in the circular in question that educational institution administrators, teachers and education workers should consider the dignity of the teaching profession, the responsibility of representation and the quality of being an example to students while performing their duties; They were reminded that they should act in accordance with the dignity of the profession, the seriousness of public service and social sensitivities and wear aprons.
In addition, it was stated in the circular that the necessary information on the subject should be provided and the implementation should be followed by the national education directorates, and that the Teacher Apron Standards Guide was prepared by determining the standards regarding design, usage and technical features in order to ensure uniformity of application throughout the country in the aprons that teachers will use during their duties.
In the article, it was stated that the standards and usage criteria for the design of teacher aprons with a simple, useful, comfortable and aesthetic approach were included in the guide, and it was requested that the aprons to be used by teachers working in public and private schools and institutions affiliated with the Ministry comply with the determined standards, to provide the necessary information on the subject and to follow the implementation.
WHAT WILL THE TEACHER'S APRON LIKE?
In the Ministry of Education's guide, the basic technical specifications of aprons for teachers working in primary, secondary and high school levels were determined. Aprons prepared for male and female teachers at these levels;

WHAT ABOUT THE FEMALE TEACHER'S APRON?
The MEB's guide also includes measurements for S, M, L, XL and XXL size options for female teacher uniforms.
The length measurement from the center back of the female teacher's apron was determined as 97 centimeters in size S, 98 centimeters in size M, 99 centimeters in size L, 100 centimeters in size XL and 101 centimeters in size XXL. Chest measurements were announced as 54, 56, 58, 60 and 62 centimeters in the same size order.
Measurements of the sleeve length and back slit length of the female teacher's apron are also detailed in the size chart in the guide.
WHAT ABOUT THE MALE TEACHER'S APRON?
S, M, L, XL and XXL size sizes were determined for men's teacher uniforms.
According to the guide, the length of the male teacher's apron from the center back will be 98 centimeters in size S, 99 centimeters in size M, 100 centimeters in size L, 101 centimeters in size XL and 102 centimeters in size XXL.
Chest measurements were determined as 56, 58, 60, 62 and 64 centimeters, respectively, from S to XXL.
Measurements of neck to sleeve length and back slit lengths were also included in the guide.
The fabric, color, number of pockets and basic technical features used in men's and women's teacher aprons were regulated within the framework of the same standards.
