Weather forecast from MGM: 'Yellow' alert given for Rize and Artvin, rain is expected

According to the latest evaluations made by the General Directorate of Meteorology (MGM), it is estimated that the northern and inner parts of our country will be partly cloudy, the inner parts of the Western Mediterranean, the Toroslar region of the Eastern Mediterranean and the coastal parts of Osmaniye, Hatay, Denizli, Afyonkarahisar, Uşak, Kastamonu, Trabzon, Rize, Artvin, Kars and Ardahan will be partly cloudy and clear.

"YELLOW" ALARM WAS GIVEN FOR TWO CITIES

Rainfall is expected to be locally heavy around Rize and Artvin. MGM issued a "yellow" alert for these two cities and warned of showers.

TEMPERATURE IS ABOVE NORMAL

Temperatures are expected to continue to be 2-4 degrees above seasonal norms throughout our country. It is expected that the wind will generally blow from the north, in the southern parts of the country it will be light from the south, occasionally with moderate force.
