Dances of the World is a typical art performance of Miss World. Contestants performed traditional dances, thereby introducing their homeland's culture to an international audience.
Ms. Thai Thi Le Hang, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa province, said that after many surveys, Miss World Organization (MO) and Golden Lotus Company found that Nha Trang has many suitable conditions to organize the final night, becoming a highlight in the last leg of the journey.
According to Ms. Hang, Nha Trang Bay is one of the most beautiful bays in the world, with international recognition. The final stage is expected to be set up at April 2 Square, creating an open space for people and tourists to directly watch the program.
Nha Trang also has experience in organizing many national and international events, including major beauty contests. The accommodation system, tourism services and the ability to coordinate on-site forces are assessed to meet the requirements of the final stage, when there are many contestants, judges, international media and audiences.
Besides, the Miss World 2026 journey through three localities is built in a way that complements each other. The Quang Ninh and Hai Phong legs showcase other Vietnamese spaces and destinations, while Khanh Hoa closes with a coronation night by the beach.
"This layout not only demonstrates the inter-regional nature of the event held for the first time in Vietnam, but also creates an visual and emotional highlight, contributing to promoting the country to international friends through typical destinations," Ms. Hang said.
Before the "final walk" moment on the contest stage, Opal Suchata said she was happy that this year's contest took place in Vietnam. She has a lot of love for the country and its people. "I've heard a lot about Vietnam since I was young. My mother came here and loved this country very much. She said I would like it too, and indeed I did. I really love the food as well as many other aspects of your culture. Everything is very beautiful. Closing the term and handing over the crown to the new beauty queen here is also very special to me. More importantly, Vietnam is not too far from Thailand, so many friends and family can fly here to share with me," she said.
Looking back on a year as the reigning beauty queen, Opal said: "Perhaps the moment that makes me most proud is traveling to many places and developing the Opal For Her community project about breast cancer. I got to meet many patients, learn their stories and provide appropriate help."
Opal Suchata Chuangsri has accompanied the activities of Miss World 2026 from the beginning of August until now. She was crowned Miss World for the 72nd time in May 2025 in India, the first Thai beauty to touch the contest's crown. At the end of July, Opal Suchata won the title "Most Beautiful Miss World 2025" voted by beauty website Global Beauties. She is 23 years old, a Law student at Thammasat University, majoring in International Relations. In November 2024, she was a Thai contestant at Miss Universe in Mexico and won 3rd runner-up.
In the hotel lobby before moving to the stage, Bao Ngoc spoke excitedly about the final night of the competition. "I'm mentally relaxed, looking forward to the moment of 'burning' my heart out on stage. I keep the original goal I set when coming to the competition, which is to touch the crown and bring pride to the audience," she said.
Before G, a series of famous international beauty sites such as Missosology, Sash Factor, Pageanthology all ranked Bao Ngoc as the number one candidate for the highest position. The beauty's full name is Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc, 25 years old, from Can Tho, 1.86 m tall, once crowned Miss Intercontinental 2022. In recent years, Bao Ngoc founded Gen Zero, an organization aimed at empowering young people to participate in climate and sustainable development issues, and is preparing to study for a master's degree in public policy and environment in the US.
