João Carlos Forssell, former mayor and councilor of Itanhaém, dies

Forssell was born in Itanhaém on August 5, 1947. He was the son of Harry Forssell, who was also mayor of the city for two terms and was the first head of the municipal Executive elected by popular vote, in 1946.

In a statement, the city hall stated that, in addition to his political career, Forssell was a lawyer and had a master's degree in Data Protection, completed in Madrid, Spain. He was also a councilor for Itanhaém for 10 years, in two terms, between 1983 and 1988 and between 1989 and 1992.

According to the city hall, João Carlos Forssell's wake will be held this Thursday (3), from 1pm to 5pm, at the Itanhaém City Hall.
