MOSCOW, May 18 - RIA Novosti. The Muslim Friendly standard was created as a means of adapting the service of the Russian hospitality and healthcare industry to the needs of foreign tourists; it is voluntary and will not be introduced everywhere, Roskoshestvo told RIA Novosti.
Roskachestvo last week informed RIA Novosti about the launch of Muslim Friendly certification for Russian clinics, sanatoriums and medical centers.
“The Muslim Friendly standard is only part of Roskachestvo’s systemic work to adapt the service of our hospitality and healthcare industries to the needs of foreign guests,” the statement says.
Roskachestvo emphasized that the organization develops standards exclusively for specific market requests and based on the objective needs of the industry.
"The Muslim Friendly system exists in various countries of the world as a service standard of hospitality, based on clearly regulated norms. In Islam, there are formalized requirements for nutrition, hygiene, privacy and daily routine - a Muslim patient looks at them when choosing a medical institution. Taking into account the quality of Russian medicine, the interest in it from foreign citizens, our country has a real competitive advantage in order to increase its share in the world healthcare market," they explained.
The organization added that any certification in this area is purely voluntary and is implemented only by those organizations and entrepreneurs who see commercial sense in it to attract an additional flow of customers.
“No imposition of “confessional” or country-specific standards on medical institutions (and other industries) does not and cannot occur. It is fundamentally important to understand: certification is exclusively declarative and voluntary in nature. There is no talk of any “widespread introduction” and there can be no talk - this is not only legally impossible, but also unreasonable from a practical point of view,” they assured.
