The St. Petersburg Arbitration Court banned the Czech Net4Gas from suing Gazprom outside Russia

The Arbitration Court of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region prohibited the Czech gas pipeline operator Net4Gas from suing Gazprom and Gazprom Export outside Russia on a related claim. Vedomosti reported this.

In case of failure to comply with this requirement, both Russian companies will have to receive almost 58 million euros and 18 percent in rubles on the date of payment, and Gazprom separately will receive an additional amount of more than 60 million euros and 36 percent in rubles.

In this way, the Russian company responded to the proceedings in the Arbitration Court at the Economic and Agrarian Chambers of the Czech Republic. Net4Gas complained about non-receipt of monthly payments for the use of its gas transmission system. In accordance with the contract, these payments from the Russian side are mandatory, and Net4Gas has the exclusive right to transport natural gas across the territory of the Czech Republic.
