You get the feeling that that last goal has taken a bit of the energy out of Senegal. A draw is the minimum they need here, and they are still moving the ball forward, but not really dynamically.

That attempted save by Edouard Mendy is his last moment in the game, as he has injured himself and has to come off.

The veteran keeper is replaced by Senegal back-up Mory Diaw.

This game has a bit of everything right now!

Senegal had the confidence boost from the goal by Sarr, now Norway strike back.

The ball came into the box and a couple of Norwegians got in each other's way (one was Haaland), but the ball went away on the left and was slid back across goal, for the big striker to hop off the ground and fly-kick it into the net.

3-1! Where will all this end? Why are we here? What are we doing? This score could end with anything.

Norway has looked comfortable at 2-0 aside from that header from Jackson, but that time Senegal broke downfield, and Ismaila Sarr stumbled forward in the area, and somehow got his foot to it first and scooped it past Orjan Nyland into the net.

It's 2-1! Here we go folks!

A good cross from the right to the centre of the box, and Nicolas Jackson got up and directed the header down, but it went straight to the keeper.

Erling Haaland looked furious with himself going off at half-time, but it hasn't taken long for him to turn it around.

Senegal was attacking, but one solid foot changed things, and within 10-15 seconds, the ball was down the other end and Haaland planted the ball into the top right corner of the net.

It's 2-0 Norway!!!!

That's 12 straight internationals he's scored in for Norway!

Play is underway in the second half, and Norway has made a second substitution.

So the half-time whistle goes, and I don't know quite what to say about this one!

Senegal dominated proceedings for a lot of that half, but couldn't make it count.

All the big chances seemed to fall to Norway, and after a few scrambles, saves and stuff-ups, you got to thinking it might not be the Vikings' night.

But then another error at the back from Senegal let in Marcus Holmgren Pedersen, who took full toll.

The scary thing for Senegal now is that Erling Haaland has missed out (twice!) with chances he'll think he should have had.

He will no doubt come out firing in the second half.

Can Senegal hit back? We'll find out in a bit.

That could — and perhaps should — have been 2-0!

Another giveaway at the back led to Haaland having a ping from a narrow angle. But it hit the post!

The ball came out again and was crossed in from the other wing, and Haaland got his head to it, forcing Mendy to make a diving stop to keep it out.

FT: France 3 - 0 Iraq

After almost four hours, France confirms its spot in the knockout stages.

Kylian Mbappe, playing his 100th game for France, nets a brace either side of the lightning delay to spearhead a professional 3-0 victory for his nation.

Ousmane Dembélé added a third late on to condemn Graham Arnold's Iraq to a second straight three-goal defeat.

Iraq remains in the race for group-stage progression as one of the eight best third-place teams, but will require a big win over Senegal on Matchday 3.

90' Mbappe misses his chance of a hat-trick

Electric from Kylian Mbappe!

He picks up the ball just forward of halfway, accelerates past a couple Iraqi challenges, flies into the penalty area and fires his left-footed shot high and wide.

And that will be Mbappe's night done.

He's taken off for Marcus Thuram as we enter two minutes of stoppage time.

France boss Didier Deschamps has taken off Bradley Barcola and Jules Koundé for the final stretch of the match in Philadelphia.

That caps off a very good spell for Norway!

The ball has been pinging around the Senegal half for a few minutes, and an error at the back from Kalidou Koulibaly lets in Marcus Holmgren Pedersen, who rips a right-foot shot into the net!

Edouard Mendy got a hand to it, but couldn't stop it.

Norway are in a strong position now.

Norway have been on top for the last period before half-time, but Senegal hit back there with a speculative effort from distance from Lamine Camara.

His shot went metres wide of the post.

82' Mbappe hunting a hat-trick for France

I must admit, I am really surprised that Kylian Mbappe has remained on the pitch for so long.

In such treacherous conditions, after such a long wait, surely the injury risk is not worth the reward for France boss Didier Deschamps.

But Mbappe continues, and he is racing into the box as Bradley Barcola attempts a cut back.

Barcola's pass it blocked and Iraq gets the ball away.

39' Norway starting to create more chances

Norway are playing into the game.

A move down the right from Sorloth, who got the cross in, but it went a couple of metres away from where Haaland was rushing in.

That was better from Norway!

Nusa, who is the centre of all the creative ideas, had it on the left wing.

He swivelled and curled a ball into the box for Haaland to head it back across. Martin Odegaard got the first touch to set up the shot, but Edouard Mendy got the stop!

That should have been 1-0. Poor shot there.

33' Norwegian error sums things up

The Norwegians just haven't been able to put it together, and that move just summed it up, with a kick down the middle attempting to find Haaland.

Unfortunately for the star striker, it hit him square in the back and bounced back for Senegal to clear.
