NRLW and NRL action: Broncos dominate Eels, Warriors debut Jett Cleary, Dragons snatch win over Warriors

Greg Marzhew breaks down the left and grubbers back in-field, putting Bradman Best in a foot race with Jacob Laban.

Laban wins and says he grounded it in the in-goal, but referee Adam Gee isn't so sure.

We're off to the bunker.

Gee was right, in fact. Kind of. Laban grounded the ball before the line, but rolled with it into the in-goal. So I thought it should be a dropout.

But instead the bunker says after Laban's contact, Best got a hand in there and knocked on in the field of play. I'm not so sure about that.

It took the Broncos less than 30 seconds to score the opening try in their NRLW clash with the Eels in Parramatta, and the first half pretty much continued on that trajectory for a 34-0 lead.

The Eels failed to control the kick-off and Jada Ferguson scored from dummy half after just 27 seconds.

Julia Robinson made sure they bookended the half with four pointers, while Kerri Johnson scored a double, as did fullback Tamika Upton, one of which was orchestrated by returning superstar Ali Brigginshaw.

Luke Laulilii fumbles a catch as he takes a hit-up and is smashed square in the face by Jacob Saifiti.

"That's the worst I've seen," Luke Lewis says on ABC Sport.

"I haven't seen a shot like that for a long time."

Saifiti is clearly furious with himself and regretful, but the contrition doesn't mitigate any punishment.

Adam Gee points straight to the sideline and Saifiti's day is done.

Cameron George, the CEO of the Warriors, has spoken to ABC Sport and says Jett has "a lot of the Cleary traits".

"He is very calm, but he just goes after it," he says.

"I am just so proud of him for pulling this jumper on today and becoming another father-son debutant here at the club."

The last-placed Dragons have shocked the Warriors with a try in the final second of their NRLW clash in Auckland.

A 66th-minute try to Jayme Millard tied the scores at 18-18 to set up a grandstand finish, and a crucial error from the Warriors gave the Dragons one last chance to pinch the win.

Once again it was Millard creating the game-winning moment in the last second, finding an offload past three tacklers to send Tahlia O'Brien over on the left wing for a 22-18 victory.

Nathan and Ivan Cleary have made a mad dash across the ditch after 21-year-old Jett was confirmed to make his NRL debut for the Warriors today.

Coach Andrew Webster, a former assistant under Ivan at the Panthers, has opted to rest Chanel Harris-Tavita and Te Maire Martin, giving the reins of the team to Luke Hanson and 21-year-old Jett Cleary.

The Warriors are hoping to keep the pressure on the Panthers for top spot on the ladder, while the Knights are trying to get into a position to host a home final in week one.
