Investigation against Özgür Çelik and Berk Tütüncü

Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office launched an investigation against New Party Istanbul Provincial Chairman Özgür Çelik and District Chairman Berk Tütüncü upon the complaints made by three Üsküdar Municipal Council Members in August.

In his speech after Çelik's election as Üsküdar Deputy Mayor, he claimed that Üsküdar Municipal Council Member Ayhan Aydın called him and said, "The prosecutor threatened me with arrest. My son and my wife are disabled, who will take care of them? I surrendered to them because there was no one to take care of them."

He claimed that the alleged words of Aydın, whose statement was taken, were not his own and said, "What was said does not reflect the truth. I was not threatened by any person, institution or authority. The claim that a public prosecutor or another public official threatened me is completely unfounded." He used the following expressions.

In Aydın's statement, it was also stated that before the deputy mayor election, he was called many times at the request of Çelik and that they were tried to put him under pressure.
