전주지검 군산지청 형사2부(홍지애 부장검사)는 11일 군산시 옥서면에 있는 미 공군 제8전투비행단과 이곳에서 근무 중인 시설업무 담당자 A씨의 주거지 등을 압수수색 하고 있다.

A씨는 2021∼2023년 전기자재 납품업체를 운영하는 B씨로부터 공군기지 유지보수 등 공사에 필요한 자재를 시세보다 비싸게 사들이고 차액 일부를 가로챈 혐의를 받고 있다.

검찰은 A씨가 이런 식의 비정상적인 계약을 통해 2억4천만원 상당의 부당이익을 챙겼다고 의심하고 있다.

검찰 관계자는 "계약감독관의 배임수재 혐의에 관한 증거물을 확보하고 있다"면서 "수사가 진행 중이어서 구체적인 내용은 밝히기 어렵다"고 말했다.
