170 beneficiaries, who have been waiting for their homes for years due to urban transformation in Yağlıtaş District of Rize, reacted to the prices of the new houses offered to them. Citizens said that although their existing houses were shown to be worth approximately 2 million liras, asking 5.5 to 6.5 million liras for new houses would leave them in debt for many years. Neighborhood residents protested by closing the neighborhood road to traffic, saying, "We are happy with our homes, we do not want to leave our debt-free homes and pay debts for 15 years." After the statements made, citizens applauded and chanted the slogan "We want justice."
