Rock in Rio: Ferris wheel attracts thousands, streamer loses finger and show times are updated

Not even the rain discourages those who want to ride one of Rock City's rides: the Ferris wheel. Toy scheduling is done via the festival app from 2pm to 12:15am.

According to the ferris wheel organization, more than 4 thousand people have already ridden on the ride since Friday. On Sunday, due to the storm, the object did not work.

An attempt to enter Rock in Rio without a ticket ended with the amputation of a finger for streamer Adalton Rodrigues, known as Lodk. At 31 years old, he tried to cross one of the fences that surround Cidade do Rock, in the early hours of Friday (4) to Saturday (5), and got the ring finger on his right hand stuck in the structure.

The show times for this Sunday (7) at Rock in Rio have been updated by the festival organizers.

On Palco Mundo, the attractions started at 4pm with The Flight. Then, at 4:10 pm, Luísa Sonza took the stage accompanied by Roberto Menescal. American musician Jon Batiste performs at 6:15 pm. At 8:25 pm, the public watches a pyrotechnic show, followed by Gilberto Gil's show, at 8:30 pm. A drone show is scheduled for 9:45 pm. Closing the night, Elton John takes the stage at 11pm, on his long-awaited return to Brazil, with a performance scheduled until 12:45am.

On the Sunset Stage, the program started at 3pm with Vanessa da Mata, who welcomed Rubel. At 5:10 pm, Roupa Nova performs alongside Guilherme Arantes. Péricles takes the stage at 7:20 pm with the show “Péricles sings Motown”. Icelandic singer Laufey closes the space's program, starting at 9:55 pm.
