Rodri completes his medical check-up with FC Barcelona awaiting the official signature

After landing late on Monday in Barcelona, ​​Rodri is having a busy schedule this Tuesday with procedures and events that began early in the morning and that, in principle, will end with his presentation as a new Barça player at the end of the day. The Spaniard's first stop was the sports city to undergo the medical examination.

The 30-year-old midfielder was scheduled to go to the Barcelona Hospital, where all Blaugrana signings usually go to undergo the usual stress tests, among others, but finally the Madrid native performed this essential procedure at the club's facilities in Sant Joan Despí, where he arrived around 9 am.

In addition to putting himself in the hands of the doctors, Rodri has been able to meet with those who will be his new teammates at Barça when his incorporation to the current League champion is finalized. Although the agreement with Manchester City is closed, with the payment of 60 million fixed plus 15 million in variables, the bureaucratic procedures are delaying the official status of the signing.

After a first contact with Hansi Flick and the locker room, where he already has many acquaintances from the Spanish team, Rodri, who is staying at the Torre Melina Gran Meliá hotel in Barcelona, left the sports city to wait for the final approval of his signing and go to the club offices, where in principle he will meet with president Joan Laporta to sign his contract until 2030.

The presentation, which was scheduled for this Tuesday at 1:00 p.m., will be delayed pending completion of all the necessary documentation between clubs. The idea is for Rodri to appear before the media in the Barça commercial room located next to a Camp Nou that the Madrid native should already step on as a Blaugrana on Wednesday during the presentation of the Joan Gamper Trophy.

In the absence of more extensive statements in his presentation, Rodri already made his intentions clear after landing at the corporate terminal at El Prat airport. "Playing for Barça is a dream and I already want to get to work. The Champions League? I come to win everything that comes my way," he commented.
