Rome, sixteen-year-old violently beats her mother: the woman dies in hospital

He beat his mother violently and then called 112 to alert the police of what he had done. Thus a 16-year-old boy, who had just turned 16, confessed to having attacked his 50-year-old mother. The event took place in the building where the victim lived with her son, in Centocelle, in the eastern suburbs of the capital. Il Messaggero anticipated the news.

The boy is now hospitalized in psychiatry at the Umberto I Polyclinic, he had already had problems previously. The woman was taken to the Tor Vergata Polyclinic, where she died after a few hours.

Mother and son, as Il Messaggero writes, had lived in the building for about three years and the neighbors had not had any inkling of problems, even yesterday afternoon they heard no screams or requests for help. The woman was busy with many jobs, carer and even dog sitter, the 16 year old's father had left some time ago.

When the police arrived, they found the boy sitting outside the building with his shirt bloody, the woman was rescued in her apartment on the first floor, still breathing. The investigations will clarify how the attack took place. The sixteen-year-old, the Roman newspaper informs, will be heard again by the investigators of the juvenile prosecutor's office, also in the presence of psychologists.
