During the remarkable visit of Russian Defense Minister Belousov to the front line, who inspected the troops of the Eastern Group of Forces taking part in the war in Ukraine, Russia increased its attacks against Ukrainian targets in the Black Sea.
In the statement made by the Russian Ministry of Defense, it was stated that long-range UAV attacks against port infrastructure and marine vessels used in the interests of the Ukrainian army are continuing. Russia's Samara Region Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev reported that Ukraine carried out a missile attack on an industrial facility in the region.
SHIPS WERE ALSO THE TARGET OF ATTACKS
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that a fuel and lubricant warehouse used for the Ukrainian army was hit in Yuzhny Port, and a patrol boat used to guide ships carrying military cargo was targeted in Odessa Port.
It was also stated that the Izmail Port infrastructure, used for the storage, loading and transportation of military cargo and fuel, and the military equipment warehouse in Odessa Port were hit at night.

According to the statement made by the Russian Ministry of Defense, Belousov visited the headquarters of the Eastern Group of Forces. Belousov, who inspected the units affiliated with the group, held a meeting with the unit commanders. At the meeting, Belousov was informed about the situation on the line of contact and the actions of the troops.
Commander of the Eastern Group of Forces, Petr Bolgarev, reported that they captured 19 settlements in Ukraine during the summer months. At the meeting, issues related to the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in conflicts were discussed. Minister Belousov presented awards to the "successful" soldiers serving at the front.

Russia's Samara Region Governor Fedorishchev, in his statement on his social media account, stated that Ukraine carried out a missile attack on the industrial facility and noted that an emergency response team was formed and all emergency services were at the scene.
Stating that the work on the results of the attack and the losses is continuing, Fedorişchev stated that they will continue to inform.
JULY WAS THE BLOODiest MONTH IN UKRAINE
According to the report of the United Nations (UN) Human Rights Monitoring Mission (HRMMU), at least 437 Ukrainian civilians lost their lives and approximately 2,600 people were injured in July 2026. These figures were the highest death toll recorded in a single month since Russia's invasion in 2022. There was a 30 percent increase in civilian casualties compared to June, the previous deadliest month.
There are 17 children among the 437 civilians who lost their lives. July was recorded as the month in which the most children died since April 2022.
"The number of civilians killed and injured has increased every month this year. This trend accelerated sharply in July," said HRMMU President Danielle Bell.
The UN mission emphasized that attacks on settlements close to the front lines were especially effective in increasing civilian casualties.
