Serbian President Vucic Announces Early Elections to Be Held on October 25

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic stated in his statement to Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) that he will announce the decisions regarding the dissolution of the National Assembly and the holding of early general elections on October 25 tomorrow.

Stating that he received the decree regarding the dissolution of the Serbian National Assembly, Vucic continued as follows:

"Now, in accordance with the Constitution and the Presidential Law, I have to make two decisions. The first of these is the decree on the dissolution of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, and the second is the decision on holding elections. I will announce both decisions tomorrow at 12:00. Elections in Serbia will be held on October 25."

Vucic claimed that the reactions to the official burial of the body of Ratko Mladic, a war criminal and one of the main responsible for the Srebrenica Genocide, in Belgrade were used as an excuse to reveal the hatred towards his country's achievements.

Stating that more than 200 thousand Bosnians live in Serbia, Vucic said, "We want to tell the Bosnians in Serbia that they are our citizens, they are equal to us and there is no difference." he said.
