지방선거 투·개표지원상황실은 사전투표가 시작된 지난달 29일부터 개표가 종료되는 시점까지 운영된다.
상황실은 지방정부 및 선거관리위원회 등과 연계해 투·개표 진행 상황을 실시간으로 파악하고, 경찰청·소방청·우정사업본부·케이티(KT)·한국전력 등 관계기관과 긴밀히 협조해 사건·사고 등 비상 상황에 즉각 대응할 수 있는 체계를 가동하고 있다.
